N M. Wadia Charitable Hospital has very long heritage, which started its operations in 1934 and in 1949 the Hospital officially constituted into Trust as N. M. Wadia Charitable Hospital. Initially, Wadia family donated generously for construction of buildings and the Trust is named as N. M. Wadia. Wadia Hospital with capacity of 250 Beds has served the society with very affordable and reliable medical facilities. N. M. Wadia Charitable Hospital started the renowned Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial Medical College of Solapur, named after the first President of the Hospital Dr. V. G. Vaishampayan. The Medical College, in 1974, is handed over to the Government.
The Hospital is located in the heart of Solapur city and is spread over an area of 15700 sq. meters of prime land. Wadia Hospital has served as a trusted and affordable multispecialty hospital for the common man for years and attended the poor with the modern equipment of relevant times. Equipment like Gamma Camera, Cathlab and CT Scan were installed way back in the 90s.
